Allow me to share details on maintenance completed on TUNAR in February 2024.Changed oil, fuel filters, oil filters, racors, zincs and air filters on both engines, transmissions and generator. Chemical flushed on raw and fresh water cooling system and replaced fresh water system with new CAT coolant and radiator caps. Removed, cleaned and pressure tested after-coolers and gear cooler. Adjusted valves on both main engines.
During the preventive maintenance mentioned above, the following was addressed. Rebuilt starboard raw water pump with new impeller. Installed a new water pump including new impeller on port motor. Replaced both alternators and drive belts. Replaced Starboard starter. Repaired fuel cooler on starboard motor. Sanded, primed and painted oil bypass on port motor. Installed oil drain valves and hoses with brass fittings for both engines and transmission for easy oil changing process. Sanded, primed and painted all raw water piping on both motors. Sanded, primed and painted both transmission couplers.
